Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios® is set to open on August 29, 2019, and we have been anxiously awaiting the big day! The two-month countdown is on, and here is what to expect.
Attractions
Get ready to journey through the galaxy on board the fastest ship with Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Based on what we have seen in the California attraction, it’s expected to be a six-person ride, consisting of two pilots, two gunners, and two flight engineers. Depending on which role you are granted will determine how you’ll control the ship inside of the cockpit. If you are the type who enjoys the element of surprise, we won’t spoil too much for you. We are still waiting for the announcement of the official opening date for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which, is expected to open later this year.Attire
Dressing up as your favorite Star Wars characters may be a plan of yours, however, if you are an adult, consider “bounding”! Guests older than 14 are not permitted to dress up in any costume-like gear at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, however, you CAN dress up in outfits inspired by Star Wars, hence where the bounding comes into play.Food, Beverage, Merchandise!
DON’T FORGET! You will have plenty, and we mean PLENTY of options to choose from in regard to food, beverage, and merchandise! Due to the demand for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, access to the entrance of it may be limited. Many factors will determine any restrictions or unavailability and there is no guarantee that passholders will be granted entrance. Keep this in mind when you visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios®.Extra Magic Hours and Disney FastPass+
For those of you who have the option to utilize Extra Magic Hours, you are in luck. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge WILL be part of the Extra Magic Hours for Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, however, the Disney FastPass+ service will NOT include anything of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at this time.
